Description
I love the facial expressions in this movie and wanted to make a reference sheet to practice sketching.Nothing fancy, just screen captures from the DVD, so all the images belong to DreamWorks.
I figured I'd end up with a lot of images so I only did Hiccup, Astrid, and Toothless. I kind of wanted to do Gobber as well since his expressions are so exaggerated.
Uploading this since others might like to use it.

I assume you mean the expressions and not the quality
I've watched it...well let's say a few times, at least, so I kinda knew where to look already. That and a dvd program that will play in slow motion, pause, and advance frame by frame helped.

There's thousands of really good facial expressions in here! I just LOVE Toothless' facial expressions, of course who doesn't!? He's just a precocious little thing, look at that face, 'Hello Pumpkin

Toothless is really well done in the movie 
In the interest of keeping the size down I didn't include full body shots of Toothless, which is kind of a shame because a big part of his expression of emotion is his posturing, from his "ears" to the tips of his wings.
