Description
A while ago I saw a documentary about the legend of Artus and Camelot. The scientists there tried to find the real place of the fortress. Even though they found a lot of things that indicate a village or fortifications they couldn't locate his fortress without doubt. And so it remains a legend... which gives me the opportunity of free interpretation and composition. This wallpaper is not necessarily connected to Britain. It's only a fictive place to dream of.

This is amazing on so many levels. The twilight sky looks so realistic, it almost makes me think you photographed a real sunset, then added the castle and backgrounds later.
The picture is filled with sweet little things that highlight your meticulous attention to detail, such as the diminutive knight riding the bridge into Arthur's fortress and the white birds flying away from that lone rock to the left. The special effects are to die for, particularly the mist hanging around the area and the spray freed by the waterfall. I can almost hear the lulling roar of the cascades, smell and taste the humidity around the area.
I definitely see this place as a part of the King Arthur mythos, a stronghold of goodness, truth, and justice waiting to be overthrown by human weakness and evil machinations. Kudos.

That is the most perfect way to place a castle. That's what I call a moat!

I think that was a "Monty Python" reference to Camelot, not a criticism for the picture; not easy to catch if you're not familiar with it.

Isolation in a dramatic fashion. It's one of those that you can keep finding new interesting details. Magnificent.
