There are already plenty of waterfall with castle images in the internet. Anyway I wanted to try it myself now too. The colors are kind of new to me but I think they are working together quite well. In short i love it, the colors are fantastic, and they are very easy on the eyes, i really like the minimalist of this, while still being full of details and great shadows. the highlights and the shadows really make it stand out.
im a fan of crisp large artwork and great details, and this defiantly has that. looks very realistic
the only thing im not to keen on is the logo on the bridge, i feel like if it had some little decorations in the stone would be interesting, but other than that i really think its great work.

This is quite lovely. The castle itself makes you wonder what awaits inside its maze of corridors and secret passages. I don't know about you, but I kinda want to grab a leather bullwhip and go around its hallways killing living vampire bats, animated skeletons and other monsters while I strike at the walls, hoping to find some delicious wall chicken to keep me going as I prepare to battle the Grim Reaper and a Satanic immortal incarnation of a certain Wallachian warlord with a penchant for running his enemies through giant pikes.
Jokes aside, your technique, coloring, and composition are top notch. The crimson twilight sky catches that particular moment when it is neither night nor day, but somewhere in between as the sun moves to the opposing hemisphere. The mist-enshrouded mountains, crescent moon and setting sun to the left are a lovely touch, heightening the air of mystery and wonder pervading the place. Is it just me, or is that a Roman aqueduct connecting the main structure to land? I like to think it serves as the castle's main water supply and link to the outside world, but I could be wrong.
This is one hell of a submission. I look forward to seeing more of this place and you.

Images like this inspire stories! This castle holds a dark, horrible secret.Β Itβs clearly a maintained structure, so itβs not abandoned or neglected. Β The castle is kept in constant repair, fully staffed, and fully equipped, and the ruler of the land makes this a priority. For within itβs dark walls is something so dangerous and so horrible, that constant vigilance is required to make sure it remains safely locked away. Perhaps an artifact of the same magnitude as Sauronβs One Ring, some type of horrible creature kept in stasis, or a gateway to another realm. Whatever it is, it can never be allowed to walk the land again, and is kept under constant guard.
Like I said, lots of possible stories could be spun from just this image!
