I like the picture and the idea of your photo, one doesnt often see such pics.
The flintlock looks interesting and nicely made too ( however the muzzle is a bit odd IMO).
On the other hand, i think that the focus is a bit off, it would be better if you were to see the whole pistole without the blurriness ( at least the barrel aswell), it suits the rest however perfectly e.g. the candles the map in the BGD aswell as the one below the flintlock and the other objects.
The paragraph above would be pretty unfair if your goal is to give your audience a good view of the working parts, which looks impressive.

Another thing: think about a better title. Strategy is too simple. i would ve taken something like "when strategy fails..."

All in all: I like it.

Nice! I like the color, such warm tones. Works well with the scene being represented!
I think the person commenting about the weirdness of the barrel doesn't realize the barrel would be a blunderbuss design. Flared at the end.
