This is a really great scene!
First I'd like to say that I really love how you've managed to capture both a very nice sunset and the beautiful city to the side. It's an extremely lovely balance.
The church (I assume that's a church) has a glow about it due to the sunset, which really off sets the architecture of all the buildings.
Laying down to capture this photo was a really good choice, and it obviously paid off. Your eyes travel all the way up the grass to meet a lovely sunset, which really is pleasing to the eye e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

To start I really like this piece. I think it is a well thought out composition and very aesthetically pleasing!
The change from cold to warm colors brings in contrast as well as how the sharp, angled, and orderly look of the buildings on the left contrast with the organic, natural look of the plants on the right.
The sun makes a nice focal point, and I love how you avoided the cliche' of having the sun in the exact middle or upper corner of the page.
The grass blades help to lead your eye around the page, with the grass all pointing toward the secondary focal point, the tall building in the background, then the sun draws me back, since it's the brightest thing on the page.
And the fact that their are no people or animals to be scene I think really adds to the serenity of the moment captured.
The foreshortening of the grass into the sun, makes me feel like I am just sitting there in the calm and drinking up the beauty and I could just run into infinity.
I believe this was a well thought out piece and my complements to the artist behind the camera! ;D

I've never seen a photo like this. The composition is so unorthodox but so effective. It is amazing how low the sun is on the horizon in a built up area, as if the city is half built on greenbelt land. The angle and dramatic light gives a wonderful juxtaposition between the two

Just in the right place to take a picture, where a little pinhole provides view of the setting sun on the grass. This is amazing, very beautiful artwork.
