Description
But I wanted to give it another try. I failed several times by creating a second version but now, I think, I created something that's comparable to the message and the feeling of the original. I also thought about replacing the old one, but there have been a lot of people telling me, to upload it as an own version. Here we go.

awesome remake.
the key of this work lies in how dark the sky is, and how brilliant are the stars and the clouds.
the first one was my favorite, now this is

I think this version looks more pulled-together, especially where your choices of cloud and cloud shape are involved. I flipped back and forth between the two images, and I can see why you wanted to redo it. The clouds in the original had fuzzier edges and seemed all over the place.
This version feels more cohesive, and the clouds have a defined shape against the moon. That really helps the composition, the scale, and the feel of your image. The moon itself, I think the texture is more...I guess the term would be granular? More detailed, more fitted to the scale of the scene. Heck, I like all your modifications - the wider image frame, the darker sky to increase contrast, the smaller tree.
Anyways I definitely think it's an improvement on the original. I'd have been bugged about the clouds in the original if it were mine, too.

The original image is one of my first images ever I was and I'm still really surprised that people liked it so much with all it's flaws.
But even this second version here is from 2010
Thank you
