Description
My part of theluminarium s exhibition called "Energy". You can check out the other awesome entries here: www.theluminarium.net/v3/exhibβ¦A different attempt this time for a close up planet. I kinda like the result. The picture is available as dual screen wallpaper for widescreen resolution (if you have another setup, just crop it to your liking).

One of your best works, do doubt about it. Makes me wish I had two monitors.

I have an idea - how about next time you add even MORE detail seriously this is awesome! Love the volcano! I do have a few things: there's a sharp edged line in the nebula about halfway across (horizontally) that looks too artificial IMO, looks like a hard edged eraser. And there are two light sources, evidenced by the astronauts shadows, but the foreground terrain is only lit from one angle, look at the rock halfway between the astronauts, that rock's shadows should match the astronauts. Plus i was wondering how the astronauts came to be on this rock, do they have a spacecraft parked off to the right somewhere? might be a nice touch to include

+fav, just because it's dual-head wallpaper, it's not easy to find really GOOD dual-head wallpapers.
Well it seems i have to crop it a little to fit my unusual 24"+20" (= 3520x1200) setup, dammit, don't want to do that... >.<
