It is awesome. Nebulae gas and and stars are on the mark. I love the lighting and texture. I wonder what this type of planet's atmosphere would be really like.

Fantastic, I love both sides, but I think I like the ice better. The asteroid there is cool (haha I'm funny), it breaks up the line of the planet and adds a lot of depth to the picture.
The moon(?) on the topside does a similar job, but it looks odd to me.

Wow, awesome attention to detail, like the lighting on the asteroid being both colors.

I've been meaning to do something like this for a very long time now, but kept avoiding it due to the fear of it being done many times before. But seeing this makes me have second thoughts on that ( I would have put fire on the bottom, resembling hell though ).
If You like the big star that much, then you could do what I do and make a series of star brushes, it really saves time and you get all stars of equal quality.

To get a really cool glowing effect, First use the star brush in the desired colour ( red for example ) in Linear Dodge mode, then make the same brush smaller and use it in White in the same mode to get a hot glowing center. It's what I did here [link] Saves time, and still looks as good, if not better than doing all stars manually.

Gorgeous work! A classic example of Fire & Ice, for looking at the top makes me feel awfully warm, and then the icy blues below give me the chills. Keep going!

Really? The robotics club at my school uses 3dsmax, although, we haven't been able to get to that level of detail.
