I wonder how decomposition actually works in the void of space. Scavengers such as rats and even ants obviously can't function out there, so how would the body putrefy? (Having said that, I hope no one put up a video of something like that; rotting is scary )

Don't know why but this reminds me of an episode of Doctor Who, The Veil in Season 9.Β

Almost looks like a movie poster for a sci-fi thriller

If you do not mind the curiosity, do we vaguely glimpse an alien voyager somewhere in there?
It looks like the bottoms of the eye sockets have been removed to directly access the inside of the skull, and the nasal cavity hollowed out. Has somebody made themselves at home in the unfortunate astronaut's skull cavity? Perhaps in the cultural imagery of their species, the glow from the empty eyes is as that from a homely fairy tale fireplace is to us, complete with a metaphorical tea kettle brewed by a character loved by children.

Could be a perfect explanation!

Hmm. There came another idea to get in the seemingly endless WIP line >< Suddenly got the urge to illustrate said hypothetical children's book on the theme; the dweller in the skull is having guests for supper, and so sets off on a journey to the nearby wrecked shuttle to prepare...

Good job on the planet and spacesuit render though! Β
