That is a difficult question to answer and you probably heard the answers somewhere before, but I'll try anyway. First of all I would suggest that you get yourself a tablet, unless of course you're perfectly fine with using a mouse. But a tablet offers something called pressure sensitivity, depending on how hard you press the stylus pen on the tablets surface, the lines thickness changes on the fly.
Then I would say, play around with muro, try every feature it has to offer and experiment with them, get to know the program as good as you can.
And the biggest thing to do is practice, practice and more practice. No master has ever fallen from the sky, they all learned and improved via practicing and drawing inspiration from other artists works.
Personally speaking, I'm not very good with muro to be honest, I do most of my stuff locally in Photoshop, but muro is great for quick stuff, sketching up ideas or for when you're on the go and not at your home computer.
Muro, however, is not the only online drawing program, I personally suggest you try sumopaint ([link] ). It is more feature rich than muro and doesn't cost anything, but it seems to lack proper tablet support (which muro has).
Then there is also GIMP which you can download for many Operating Systems, and its also 100% free. Tablet support, again, is a rather odd thing, simply put, I couldn't get it to work well. My cursor wasn't at the same position where I would draw the line.

Overall, there are many options when it comes to free drawing programs, but the best program in the world means nothing if you don't practice your drawing skills. Keep that in mind.

Whew, thats a lot of text, I hope I could help you a little bit.
Have a nice weekend!
