At least that movie was made back in the days when film makers actually took risks instead of worrying about stocks and shares. That's what made that movie great, that's what made Blazing Saddles great.
Now Disney's so concerned with profit, that the few new things they make, are thanks to one of the companies they're leeching off of; Pixar, Miramax, Mizaki's company, etcetera, etcetera.
Otherwise it's some pointless sequel to a classic movie, often a sequel that should have never been written and shouldn't see the light of day. Case in point; everything that they've done to Winnie the Pooh after 1990, another case in point would be the Land Before Time movies. There's so many, that they stopped adding numbers after the titles.

Oh darn! Why did you have to bring up the Land Before Time movies! I LOVED the first one. After that, they turned into garbage. I think they were on maybe number 13 or 14 last I checked. (boo)
Disney used to make quality films that appealed to both adults and children, and now they just fill the movies with old characters that kids recognize and idiotic child humor. They used to actually be funny, and entertaining. It's infuriating seeing something that was so wonderful in my childhood just rot like that... what's worse is seeing that the kids of today LOVE that garbage... wtf

They just did what all the CEO's have done for the past 12years, they ran their company into the ground trying to make profit for themselves and leaving everyone else behind. It's why they had to forcibly absorb Pixar. "Cars" was going to be Pixar's first film without Disney, and it wasn't originally going to be a rip-off of "Doc Hollywood". That's also why they always snatch up the rights to great animes such as "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Princess Mononoke".
