might be too dark, can't tell hahaedit: looking at this from another monitor, i just had to make it lighter. hope its not too light now haha.

Looks OK on my monitor, but I have a Mac (lighter gamma setting than PC). I can see where it would probably look pretty dark on a PC though...
I like it, anyhow. Especially the minimalist vertical composition, very Klimt...

Love it. Reminds me of a Klimt. He'd always have those exagerated angles on his females, exentuating the hips. I also like how dark you made it. Adds some style to it. This could have been a boring image. Forcing us pick out details like the hand in the darkness is a good compositional choice.
I don't like the background near her head. The 'scale' looking texture is a lot like the pattern on her knee. It just comes out as odd to me instead of reinforcing the pattern on her knee it distracts. Or well to my eye at least.
Anywho, keep it up man!

I don't think it's too dark at all, but I also have a soft-spot for heavy contrast (: I think you've achieved a good balance between the positive and negative space in the overall composition.
