I like the way its kind of framed in on the edges. The line that runs to the lower left hand corner draws the eye back into the subject. Is that a statue of liberty in the background? lol

The concept of the dress was nicely transmitted with minimal detail - but I think you might have done better spending some of the same effort on nearby structures. The other citizens are probably better as they are, simply to communicate that faceless conformity of city life. I noticed Lady Liberty in the background...

i love your style! and i like the feeling of...what's the word...isolation? with the girl being completely alone even though there are people on either sides of the street. and i like the contrast between the blurred figures and the solidly defined girl. oh, and nice buildings and arches. ^-^

it does have a Craig Mullins feel, but i can see your own style there. Mullins has kind of a grainy texture in his work and yours is much smoother.

I've got to plead ignorance here as I've no idea who Craig Mullens is (Googling him reveals that a Craig Mullins appears to be a popular artist?). But the small view of this (i.e. where the digitalisation is less obvious) reminded me very much of a painting that used to be in my house.
At any rate, the full view of this especially is just beautiful and I love the figure in the middle!

At first, I thought this was one of his works. *_*
So this is definitely not fail- just the opposite: a metric ton of win.
The lighting is wonderful and blends well with the shadowy figures. The glossy look of the floor,
the lone, lucid figure in the foreground.. everything is spot on- just like his compositions!
I like it very much.
