Yes, it's obvious you were inpired by Craig Mullens for this one. You did a nice job I think. The lighting is kinda dramatic. I like it.

Really lovely piece of work... it's nice in small view, but in full size it's even more nice to see the stylized look it has. Really well done

I really love your painting technique- it gives this rougher, more real feeling to most of your paintings, but here it gives the feeling of seeing past the lines of the painting- makes the eye want to look for more. I also love your colors- they remind me a lot of a rainy afternoon in London- the almost reflective shadows give that illusion too. I also really like how you made the figures part of the background- it makes the lighter pathway and the girl in the dress stand out a bit more.

I could rant on and on- but that wouldn't help you. I just really wish I could paint like you.

Haha, yeah, it does have this Mullins feeling. Anyway, I think it's a very interesting piece, very eye catching, too. Being a film composer, it makes me want to score it (it plays beautifully in my head).

On this picture I see, how we are as individuals surrounded by a crowd of people but in fact we are alone. Or with other words we are alone in the middle of a crowd of people. I see this because you have used a good technique namely you have made the crowd to appear transparent and not detailed beside the detailed and well different colored girl. The colors you have used are monotone (beside the girl), and this make me fell miserly because of the miserable world in which we live. And if you will try to add something to it in the future, I have to tell you that you’re on the right way.

Don’t underestimate yourself and your abilities, because something that you made doesn’t look like work of other people. This is YOUR art and it expresses YOUR feelings. OK I have to say that sometimes we would like that our work appears like someone else work but for me is more important to express our salves with art and not just trying to imitate someone.

I hope that these words will help you by your further work.

with all those measurement lines you have in the image, it gives it a nice constructual feel to it. It seems both inviting and separating. Very nice
