Last question from me, sorry. How do you draw something like this when the vanishing points go way off of the paper? I've so wanted to draw towns like these.

Excellent !! I love the ambiance of the town... Wish I could live there...

nice design, it reminds me of the first big dessert town in xenogears, probably due to some similar deserty design elements and the rectangular proportion of the layout. Nice perspective work too

Nice bit o perspective. I've tried to teach some friends how to use 2-point, but they just can't seem to figure it out. What seems basic and dull to some can actually be quite incomprehensible to others. It's frightening.

This town has a population of 20
I just think that you should do a huuuuge design, for the cool factor, if anything. I'd even help

Careful, she's getting a tad forced. And I think the doors are probably too small considering the people living in it. Is the ellipse correct in the center? (the benches around the fountain look off to me). Also, I think the palace would probably be centered in the back, and a little bigger. I'm thinking Aladdin?
For this kind of thing doing an isometric top-down view with grids helps, so that you can plan walkways through the town, and build up the boxes from the grids on the ground when you put it in perspective. Did you actually draw in pencil this time? ^^
Tis a very small town. When you're thinking about designing a town, think about walking through it and it's necessities - It would need a market, it would need lights of some sort, and various other things. Just the little details, of course.
Anyways, keep up the layout stuff. Hope you get a -real- job this time :F

lol yeahhh, i kinda tried to bs seomthing that would look good but u knoww..it was a bit of a rush job.. I didnt do any size comparisions or anything, but i thought that if the doors were much bigger, then the town would onyl be able to hold like 100 ppl..haha and yeah, im listening to terry and using graphite more but anyways, i really should've planned out stuff before to make a more serious layout ahhh welll...thanks for the input^^
and man..teaching kids....ugh...

but you draw perspective of places this kind of good! I had assumed that you fall on that part - being an architiect - because of the nice termination of lines you've done in making of these buildings. You have a bright future on this. No kiddin.
So you are not an architect. *sighs* But you still draw very good.
