Had this experience a couple days ago in Bug Fables was max level and challenging the final boss, with a large stock of revival items that i ended up not needing

Same thing with Etrian Odyssey Nexus for me. I was so overleveled that the post-game final boss was stupidly easy. (Hell, the semi-final post-game boss was much harder than the actual post-game boss!)

The post game boss in Bug Fables gives you achievement for beating it at all (he'll let you try as much as you want), where i beat the final boss without losing a party member, he wasn't hard, just tedious
