Hanging out with the wrong crowd. VERY wrong.I once read a doujin where Seija mercilessly slaughtered Sukuna's entire family because she was afraid they would kill her. She doesn't seem like the type to spontaneously murder people. Obviously, she took lessons from a certain snake in the NOL. GDI, Hazama.
So Sukuna was left orphaned, homeless and emotionally scarred until Reimu took her in (in the doujin).
