Astro is actually sort of a technological version of the concept of reincarnation. Astro may not be Tobio exactly, but he's essentially Tobio reincarnated as an android. And ironically Astro Boy 03 was taken off the air for a fantasy equivalent (Avatar: The Last Airbender) of the same idea.

And you made Tobio absolutely adorable and he looks exactly like he was taken straight from the artist's desks. The drawing is THAT brilliant. It's a shame to american version of the 03 series wouldn't show Tobio's actual death. Another reason for us all to pressure Sony into uncutting the 03 AB series.

I prefer him as an Emo resurrected Android with a Magnetic Generator for Magneto Godly powers in a younger version of Dr. Tenma´s outfit, but this is still CUTE!

It's Tobio, also my fave character from all the AB series and manga! It's so tragic what happened to him. I always cry during his death-scene. And poor Tenma, he just lost it and was never the same. You know, when you think about it, "Astro Boy" really is all about Tobio... because he's a robot designed to replace that deceased child, in his likeness and everything. At least that's how I see it... because if Tobio haddn't of died, Astro would never have existed. When I see Astro, I see and think of Tobio. So, Tobio is the real star of the series and manga! Poor, poor Tobio... *salutes*
