Description
Contest entry for the K-ONclub group.----
My last K-ON fanart is from July last year.
So I took K-ONclub 's contest as a reason to do another one.

Yay, endlich wieder ein weitesgehend ausgearbeitetes Bild von dir! Es ist zwar hier und da noch sehr skizzenhaft,
aber ich finde es dennoch sehr gelungen. Bleib am Ball!

Eating a watermelon pop while she's got a tan on. Isn't this kinda racist?

You can see racism everywhere if you're try hard enough.
I think its pretty far-fetched to call this racist. Also is this
"black People and Watermelons" just an internet phenomenon.

Yeah, I've seen it numerous times in pop culture, from The Boondocks to Bioshock Infinite. And no, the watermelon thing is a negative stereotype, much older than the internet...

Sure, but you can find the watermelon thing everywhere on the net, it's a bit over the top.
What I meant is, that you shouldnt search in every picture or statement for a sign of racism.
I've chosen the watermelon popsicle, because melons are very popular in Japan. And Azusa gets
tanned quick. There is no racist background and I think no one will connect those signs to a racist meaning.
Except you are searching for it and are willing to find a sign of racism. If you are looking hard enough and
taking signs out of context and mix them together to something new, then you can find racism in almost everything.

It's not a problem. I think I'm just a bit hypersensitive about this topic.
Here in Germany you are immediately a Racist, Antisemitic or anything else if you say
something somebody doesn't like.

And showing off the swastika is straight-up illegal, for reasons I won't go into...
