Good heavens, you two! What on earth is going on here? And, for that matter, who on earth just barged in to witness it?

This started out as a playful sketch, an illustration for several amusing conversations with friends about Astrid's aggressive style of negotiations, and it was (and continues to be) meant as a joke...but all things considered, I probably spent a lot more time on this than I really should have. That said, I haven't sat down and colored something digitally in far too long, and it was really pleasant to indulge for once. Hair is fun to color!

Special thanks go to whoever animated Hiccup's hair post-fireball. I theorize that any extended amount of private time with Astrid would have similar effects, and drew accordingly.

PS - Since a friend of mine was, er, thoughtful enough to ask, and for the benefit of the dA underage police: please rest assured that all of their major articles of clothing are exactly where they should be, both at and below screen level.

After all, a true and honorable Viking would never impinge so far as that on the innocence of such a delicate flower! (And as we all know, Astrid is the very acme of an honorable Viking. )
