AT LAST! I finally sucked it up, went out and bought a scanner. On sale, too! It was just getting ridiculous, you know? I've always preferred hand-drawing and inking my lines, and I just wasn't acclimating to using the tablet for it, no matter how I tried. It's a fantastic coloring tool, but it's just not cutting it for lineart.

So now I am back in business, and I have a relatively massive backlog of unscanned work from the last few scanner-less months. (Look out for more coming soon!)

This is one of those backlogged works; the joke has been sitting on my coffee table for weeks and has gone a bit stale for me, but hopefully it's fresh for y'all. Anyway, every Zuko/Katara fan needs a take on the crystal caverns scene in their gallery. My favorite part is Katara's "..." face, and the coloring, which turned out abnormally well for me. My least favorite part is Zuko's fire. I am so lame at drawing fire without Photoshop to prop me up; Pictbear has no functional smudge brush. And is that a background I see? Even a ghetto scribbly background? Note this down as a historic moment, y'all. Seriously.
