Peter knew it would have taken a while, but it felt like seconds when he felt a warmth spreading through his boiler. Slowly, his eyes began to adjust to the sensation of waking up from the Green Water for the first time in goodness knows how long.

"How do you feel, Peter?" asked Henry, having heard the sound of Peter waking up and opening his own eyes in response.

"I can feel my left piston for the first time in years." gasped Peter in wonderment. "I’ve long been looking forward to that." It would be even better for the rest of him to be feeling strong and healthy, but he knew this was a good start.

"It's just a patchwork job at the moment," said Jim; Henry's driver. "You’ll need more parts and a new coat of paint before you can be seen by the Fat Controller."

"Fair enough, Jim." replied the 8F before directing his attention to the trio. "Thank you, all three of you, for doing this for me. Just be careful you don’t get into trouble."

"We will be." assured Henry. "We’ll have to look around for more parts for you. And now we have Emily and her crew knowing what’s going on, they’ll help us."

Angus, Henry's fireman, looked at his watch. "Is that the time?!" he gasped. "Blimey, it’s getting late! We better hurry back to Tidmouth."

"Right." said Henry. "The others will be wondering where we are. See you later, Peter. I might bring Emily with me sometime."
