My first landscape painting, was supposed to be a background for this tobyfredson.deviantart.com/art… but I went over board with the details; Turned out a bit impressionistic to, not as great as and not as colorful as I'm really scared to go wild with that but it's a good start.Made a simple experiment on a really small size with this to find the best brushes for painting landscapes and rocks as I seen really awesome use of square brushes in Derek's paintings, so I made my own.
This was a nice warm up, think I'm ready for the contest!

Nice work with contrast, i always tend to give my drawings less contrast than needed.

IDK, it does look like it but I wouldn't count on that! Probably because I usually lit up my scene even when it's night time. Damn with that 3d global illumination they come up with...
