I really, REALLy like this approach to the 'Scourge' design. The Scourge design has become such an 'It's this and nothing else' type of design with the "Black pelt with a white paw" description. This definitely takes the cake for a realistic Scourge design! Also, LOVE the glitter collar!

Aaaah I really like your idea to create a more real design for characters of warriors!
And the scourge look is wonderful, I like the fact that you've added stripes to him because his father was Jake and you gave him an interesting palette of colors. And this design is a nice escape from the typical Scourge look that I usually see!
I hope that there will be more such designs! OwO

I love his expression and it works so well with his coat design. I especially love how the white plays across his face. Makes him seem sophisticated while also giving the impression that he has some cool scars there. (Sometimes scars on a cat can grow white fur.)

Though, if you were going for genetically accurate, this design and the canon design are pretty much equally accurate.

Here's my explanation: Because his mother was gray and his father was red tabby, Scourge actually could be a black ticked tabby or a solid black, with any eye natural colour because one of his parents has amber eyes (which has the highest level of pigment possible in a cat's eye and you can really only equal it or go downhill from there). The problem with both designs is that he has white on him. The only way he'd have white is if he had the white spotting gene, which has to be passed down from at least one parent onto him. Neither of his parents has white, so neither of them can have the white spotting gene. (Regardless of this, I really like the white fur on Scourge's design.)

(Though, as canon likes to imply, the one white sock that appears on Scourge and Squirrelflight is a unique mutation (recessive) passed down from Jake's ancestor, in which case both parents would have to have that recessive gene for it to appear. Which means that Sandstorm would have to be related, somehow, to Jake or Jake's ancestors for it to be passed down through her into her and Fireheart's offspring, aka Squirrelflight. And then Quince would have to be related to those same ancestors of Jake's for it to appear in Scourge. Which, as you can imagine, can be really awkward to think about and also highly improbable.)

And judging by his parent's genetics, his sister Ruby should be a light-colored tortoiseshell and his brother Socks should have no reason to be named Socks because he can't have any white whatsoever. But I honestly think that people should be allowed to have creative liberty with these designs, especially since canon obviously doesn't care.
