Description
Man, it’s been a week. Coming off of just barely 10 hours in the studio last week, I’m not even hitting 15 this week. It’s frustrating. Also frustrating is I can’t seem to post anything to DeviantArt right now. No warning notices that I’ve seen about exceeding upload limits or anything (I don’t think there are any?), just some really strange behavior. I’ve been trying to upload my latest Inktober 52 image since I finished it Thursday. I step through the exact same process I always do with their interface, uploading the image, titling it, adding tags and a caption. When I click submit, I get a “deviation not found” error (for those unaware, posts made to DeviantArt are called deviations). I’ve tried it multiple times over multiple hours (and now days), tried different browsers, tried saving it as a draft (that failed), tried uploading it to there “Sta.sh” thing (some kind of site storage that I just found out about, someone recommended uploading there first, then publishing it to my page). All failed. Just now I tried uploading a different image (one I already had uploaded). It worked, so I deleted it and tried uploading the image I wanted to without changing anything (no title, tags, or caption) and it worked. I edited the post to change the title and resubmitted. That worked. I edited again to add the tags. That worked. I edited again to add the caption, that failed and removed the post from my page completely. I walked through all that again, changing the order I made changes, and it always fails on the second or third edit attempt and removes the image from my page. I have NO idea what is going on. I filed a “ticket” with the site, but we’ll see if I hear from anyone. In the meantime, here’s an appropriate, recent Cuppy sketch. I’ve been going through the story to pick out poses to play around with, giving me a chance to experiment with his “anatomy” and how it moves, as well as how I want to render all his components. The last several weeks have been very challenging to get my Brain into writing mode because of all the interruptions and inconsistency, so I’m glad I have stuff like this to fall back on. I really need to write again, though, because all these extended gaps between sessions really make it difficult to get into the “flow” of things.
