i tried to capture a feeling of longing and loneliness in this drawing, 'cause imo i feel these two are very lonely characters who don't get enough canon interactions. i was thinking about the space colony arc moment they had when amy helped shadow remember his promise to maria, and how he actually cried in front of amy, someone he hardly knew at all yet reminded him of his dearest friend... and sadly there's never been really any follow up to that interaction they had? cmon sega, you can't keep leaving me hanging like this xP
