Pluck the petals one by one.
They float off in the currents.
A burst from the stem.
The ocean water is tainted blood red.
Nothing left.
But the petals, they swim to me.
Tattered. Fragile. But persistent.
My darling flower.
Why do you come back?

My entry (1/2) for mephiles101 's art contest. Yes, I will be making two entries. The second one will probably be more grandiose, but also more lighthearted. It's taking me forever to render everything, I hope I'll be able to get it done by the end of December.

For this particular piece, I wanted to go with a renaissance look, with the textures and paint. The pose is even based off of Michelangelo's Pietà, which I thought was fitting for Laura and Savage.

(And I don't mean to brag or anythingggg but I painted this on my 3DS lol XD)
