they're not dead. feral ghouls aren't zombies, either.
they're just irradiated mutants that age very slowly and are super resistant to everything [natural] the wasteland throws at them. they're like superheroes. except they look like beef jerky thanks to the radiation.
i'm still going to call him a zombie though, because the dweeb canonically calls himself the king of the zombies.
