Very nice! Red mages (magi?) are also extremely awesome
Great job!

Thanks, but I won't forgive you for saying that word again.

Also, they make pretty sweet backgrounds. I've got the black mage as my background right now If you want, I can render it at whatever resolution your screen is. Most of my pictures on DA are 1280x1024 cause that's my resolution.

That's ok, I used Photoshop to resize and stretch it to my wallpaper size

Honestly, it's no problem. It'll only take like 5 minutes to render and it'll look way better than if it's stretched. What's your resolution?

It's 1280x800. But it looks fine, I just shrunk the red mage to fit, than copied parts of the background and moved them over to fill the rest of the width, so it's not distorted at all.

Alright, well I sent Katey a render of it at 1280x800. If you want, you can use that one instead, but I was expecting your monitor to be some crazy high resolution like 1920x1200 or something

I mostly use a laptop, that's why it's not very big. But I sometimes attach my second monitor (768x1024, I have it sideways for making reading documents and stuff easier) so that makes a lot more space when I need it.

Oh, that would make sense. I've never actually thought of having a second monitor on it's side, but it's a pretty smart idea. Occasionally i have a second monitor set up though. It's great for any kind of art.

No problem. I wasn't able to find a picture of the guy from dragon warrior. If you can find one for me I'll make him too. I tried making a 16 bit Samus Aran in the same style as this but I was having way too many issues with exporting it. It made my computer crash multiple times from it having 180 000 polygons. D: So I think I'm going to stick with 8 Bit from now on

Is it because Samus is a larger sprite, or because of the larger amount of colors?

Yeah, Samus was made of 4326 cubes, while this red mage was made of 366 cubes, so it's way bigger. I could upload just the untextured image if you want. It doesn't look like much though, since most of the detail is in the colouring.

Mainly because it was so much bigger of a sprite and my computer just couldn't handle it. Maybe once I upgrade my computer I'll be able to do more intense things.

Yeah, as soon as I get some money, I'm buying more ram and a new motherboard, which has a really good onboard graphics card, so I won't have to worry about buying a video card for a while.
