Description
Evenin' everyone. I was going through my image files and I came across this. This is a just a comparison that shows how I draw and the various changes I constantly make when I'm working on an illustration.Page 1: Basic sketch. This is when we have our idea and how we want to show it off. In our basic sketch, we have Caroline (human) Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. On the top left corner Nightmare Moon is somewhat visible. This is what we're going to work with.
Page 2: now that we have our basic sketch done, let's polish the lineart a little more and work on some errors and things that need some adjustments. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy receive drastic changes. As presented in page 1, page 2 showcases the characters looking identical to their default style.
Page 3: In this image, Our rendering is complete and now we have a nice scan. Now we enter our scan in Photoshop or any other digital coloring program you use to touch it up.
Page 4: Frame it. Make it look nice and presentable. Add a bit of contrast to it but don't go overboard. You may add a url just for kicks. And then once we frame it after adjusting the contrast, and errors, let's post our image!
And there you have it! If you haven't viewed the final illustration and wish to read the fan-fic alongside with it. Click on the thumbnail below!
