Description
I found this cool plugin for Max called Legolizer, which converts meshes into LEGOs. It's available at cgtalk.com forums.I tried it out on a couple things like a sphere and teapots, as well as my Ren and Stimpy models.
Stimpy is made up of about 30,000 bricks, which comes out to over a million polygons.
Ren is quite a bit less I guess because he is thinner, and also I created them in seperate scenes and I believe the bricks created were larger.

This is amazing. I thought it was ACTUAL legos, not a program that made them

I'm really getting into Max and now I discover a neat plugin that does this? I hope there's something similar for Cad 2008 but I have my doubts.

Legolizer? Very cool! It's almost similar to a technique Michel Gondry used in a video for The White Stripes. [link] Check it out! ((well, he used reall legos too)) But computers help.

1 million poly,, geesh the plugin should just legoise the surface instead of the entire model interior. cool technique. but 1 million poly! =/

Wrap em up, I'll take em! 'Course even the finest render is only half as cool as seeing the real thing, so... you've got your work cut out for you.

At first I thought you built these and I was like "NO WAY holy crap!"
By the way, you got them mixed up. Ren is on the right.

Yea I just realized I typed Stimpy instead of Ren. I meant to say REN is quite a bit less. I guess since I had just typed about Stimpy, and the lines line up, I had Stimpy in my mind still
