Howdy~!I recently posted a journal about a new fan transformation I came up with called Spirix, and with it I posted concept art of Bloom's design.
No worries if you haven't seen it, I'll throw some in some links at the bottom of the description here so anyone interested can check it out. xD
BUT, to the main point, this is version 2 of Bloom's Spirix design!
I have to admit, even though I didn't change very much, I like this design a lot better. ;w;
It was pointed out to me that the original was hard to recognize as being Bloom, and it was recommended that I change her hairstyle; I hope this looks much more Bloom-like. vuv
I also changed up her outfit slightly, and instead of "long socks" I just made her legs a little more transparent -- which I like better.
As for her veil, which every transformation is supposed to have, it's kind of hard to see...but I wanted it to be similar to her Believix hair clip so it's on the back of her head? I'll have to draw out what it actually looks like in the future, for reference purposes.

Bloom's hair has been changed!
It's now the same style as the original concept, but with the color of the second version.
Aside from that, I also made her veil-piece longer so that it's more visible. :3c

I wanted them to be more like, you know, the classic sort of funeral veils? But I didn't want to make them black, because that would kind of clash with the whole white / near-white theme I was trying to run with...
Although Witches and Wizards will have the darker colored themes, I wanted the Fairies to have it be lighter...idk if I'm gonna change it up or not. xD

you could go for silver or gray? Maybe even a pale purple or blue, since I've heard and seen people wearing dark purple and blue at funerals. shrug idk if that helps, but... figured I'd say so. It is your fantransform, after all ^^

I was trying so hard to match the veils with the outfits I just made them white...and matching with the main colors of the Fairy, you know? xD

This looks better than her previous concept, though the first hairstyle was more interesting to me

Heh, I still kind of like Winx Club but it's not my favorite thing in the world. I used too watch it every time I woke up for school in the morning. Good times, now I watch The Avengers (Not Marvel) every morning, it's old and cheesy but it's good.Β

I'm much more about the art, and the concept of the show, over the show itself, so I get you.
It used to air every Saturday morning and I remember waking up at like 9am just to catch it and Sonic X. xD

I do like the art style in a way, it's cutesie and sometimes makes you fall in love instantly in a way.Β
For me it aired on weekdays at like 6:00am, but I woke up at 6:15am so I didn't get too watch the entire episode, but I still understood it.Β

It's definitely a style you have to get used to, for sure.
That's the one of the benefits of shows for young audiences; it's easy to pick up on the plot because of how quickly the shows are paced. That and you could miss an entire episode and the recap gets you caught up like you hadn't missed a second. xD

Ye'. That's a reason why I loved Winx Club, even though you miss like half of the episode you get a recap on like the next episode, it's a nice little touch and makes you understand it. Haha.

About the 1st not looking like Bloom, I'm not sure that I agree with that.
Why does she have to have the same hairstyle in every transformation?
There was only one artist here on DA, that I know of, that changed her hairstyle completely in Fusionix.Β
I love everything here, but, I liked the first hairstyle better, it was different, like this transformation.Β

The more I looked at the first version, the more I saw where the criticism was coming from about it not looking much like Bloom.
I wanted her to be recognizable, so I took the criticism to heart and tried my best to change things. ><
Perhaps I'll try my hand at combining the two types of hairstyles, in the future, to make something both recognizable and unique...
I prefer this second version over the first one, but I can absolutely see where you're coming from; thank you for being honest! c:

Criticism can be hard to take, I know. ;-;
When I was young, any comment that wasn't "this is perfect" sent me off on a tangent. It's hard to grow out of that when you think what you're doing is the best, and you pour your soul into it.
But now I'm a grown gal and all criticism is welcome as long as it actually helps me change for the better. xD
But that's one of the reasons I'm always so afraid to genuinely critique others' work; you never know how they'll react, and I don't ever want to offend. ><
