well, all you have to do is color very lightly around the area you want bright (in this case, around ciela), and shade a darker where you want it dark/shadowy, which i did along edges and corners. to intensify the effect, i outlined the paper with a dark green pencil to make the center of the drawing look brighter than it actually was
