Last week's assignment for Shanth's comic class. The week before we had chosen a story and made color keys from particular moments. This week we had to choose one of those and make it into a full scene, in the same format. Anyway this is a moment out of arthur's early life, him coming across the sword in the stone. I'm pretty pleased with these, obviously there's a lot I would change but I think they came out alright for what they were.This week is our FINAL! oh LORD how did that happen?! Anyway send me your good luck vibes, I'm gonna need them!
watercolor and gouache, 2-4 hours each, depending. each is 3 by 6 inches.

The colors and setting are fantastic. It makes a really nice sequence, as well. Whatever the color keys were, they sure seem to have helped.

Oh man this is awesome! You're so amazing ;_; i really love all how beautifully done this is! I really love the concept of the assignment, and I think you did an amazing job! The color tones you chose make it feel so very cold and semi bleak and I like how the sword is golden or has golden tones around it, making it the brightest thing there. Which is AWESOME. And overall I LOVE the layouts you chose and the shots you picked! The way you composed everything is also SUPER AMAZING! And I love how you drew Arthur and the horse, especially the horse...because horses are hard :< but you rock
