I know I've said nothing about doing this in my art updates but I was going through some pictures of macaws when I was studying more about Williams breed and I found all these macaw list (extinct)It's actually sad to think we as humans have taken away so much beautiful lives who deserved better, and I'm not just talking about birds
So here are the names going by order
1. Hispaniolan Macaw
2. Martinique Macaw
3. Dominican Green-and-yellow Macaw
4. Red-tailed Blue-and-yellow Macaw
5. Jamaican Red Macaw
Please do NOT trace any of these birds

Violet macaw! I honestly thought it was black when I first found out about it. You see, I was going to do a comic to some macaw characters I had and have the "black" macaw in hiding as a leader of the macaws but.... Things change....Β

There are the Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos that are pretty close... just on the opposite side of the world... X'D in cool Australia! =3
I'm kinda stuck on thos 'toos I'm fond of their colors/detail.. X}

it's really sad to see, these species aren't alive anymore... only because of the humans...
just like shadowdagger said: 'it's such a shame'...
anyway, i think this is a good idea and it would be awesome if you would do another sheet.
i thought of writing a little chritique for your artwork. pls forgive me if there are some grammar mistakes, i'm from germany and english is not my local language
In my opinion you did a pretty good job on this sheet, i love the way you combined the cartoon style with a little bit of realistic style, the transitions of the colours are
smooth which make them look more fluently and the lineart looks good too.
the only thing you could do better is the shape of their heads. they all seem to be very equally, you could have added some more properties like on the jamaican red macaw... the head was normally a little bit smaller than the heads of the others.
but all over i really adore this drawing and it's great to see how you improved your (digital) drawing style in only a couple of weeks... keep the good work up!

haha I think it's been a few months now? I learnt traditional art from my dad when I was around five years old and I loved drawing so much I wanted to learn more so I'd always try my best. Sure I've had put downs by old primary teachers saying I'd never be an artist but a few teachers can't stop me from enjoying what I do

i don't agree with the teachers who said you would never be an artist, in my opinion you are great!
but there will be always somebody who don't like or even hate your work. just remember: don't care too much about the others... in other words: fuck all the haters!

It's really sad for the birds... I knew the 1, the 2 and the 5 but I did not know the Dominican Macaw and the Red-Tailed Blue-and-yellow one... Too bad, this last is fantastic... (sorry I've a very bad english ^^')
