Okay I am getting way too hyped for Sun & Moon. Someone on twitter mentioned that the legendary reminds them of Pyroar and at first I wanted to draw pyroars instead of litleo's, but then I thought it would be cuter if Solgaleo looks like the leader, protecting the cubs... so thats what I ended up making ;u;-----

I'm not a big fan of the sun legendary Pokemon it just reminds me to much of pyroar so I'm probably going to choose Pokemon moon over Pokemon sun

Same here. I mean how many other Ghost type Legendaries do we have? Like one other, or is this really the first Ghost Legendary - granted it's not the dominant type, but it's Psychic/Ghost?

Solgaleo's striking resemblance to Pyroar makes me think that my theory that legendary Pokemon were originally just powerful non legendary Pokemon, is correct.

I was just trying to think which Pokemon Ho-Oh derived from earlier too. I wonder if a Fearow also turned into Motres or - a long stretch - Lugia. I can see Pidgeot being a remote possibility for Articuno. Is there not another Flying type (that's NOT Emolga) that could possibly turn into Zapdos? I'm interested now.

Actually, Skarmory seems to share many similarities anatomy wise with Zapdos. Also, Druddigon seems to share similarities with Zekrom. And Sawsbuck with Xerneas. And Aurorus with Dialga.

If Skamory gets another evolution this time around, I might be able to see the Zapdos coming from it. The only problem with that is going from full metal body back to flesh and feather, commanding electricity. Unless...because its made of metal - a natural conductor - maybe enough energy being stored over the decades finally breaks the metal shell and Zapdos comes out that way. I can see Sawsbuck becoming Xerneas; Aurorus with Dialga too.
