Guess what? You're about to see an influx of Fai pictures again XD I have several favorites from this weekend so as soon as I get them together I will make a photo dump. But here is one of them as a bit of a preview.Can you believe this coat fit in my carryon suitcase?

It was a lot of work, blood, sweat, and tears XD And time..lots and lots of time.

painting the design took about 40 hours, adding the trim on the back took about another 40 hours. In all the costume took about 3 months to complete, working on it basically everyday.

That coat...is AWESOME! O.O what type of paint did you use (like brand and such) for the coat? Also, I gotta ask, did you have to guess at what exactly Fai's coat pattern is or do you have a full picture (I only can think of one and it's his main artbook picture and I don't feel that shows enough of the coat to get the idea of what it looks like all around)

Thank you ^^ I used Jacquard's Textile Paint to do the design. And there is no image of the back. Every person who does the coat comes up with their own design. For mine, I took what I could see and drew out what I believed the connecting lines would look like. The part at the very top between his shoulders is completely hidden so that is completely up to the individual cosplayer to come up with. That's why every Fai coat is unique ^_^

It folds up very very nicely XD We had to leave it in the bathroom for two days though so the shower could steam out all the wrinkles though. LOL!

oh my god I want your coat!! if you don't mind me asking how did you go about making that? like how much fabric and what did you use for the blue design? This is totally awesome!

Thanks ^^ It was a lot of fabric..its hard to remember exactly how much but I believe it was about 15 yards of fabric and about a yard and a half of fur. The blue design is actually painted on and I used a iridescent trim to do the detailing around it.

I basically came up with it myself because no pattern had the length or shape that I wanted. You can use a generic coat pattern as a base though and just alter it.
