Description
Among the nine kings to have been corrupted by the rings of power offered by Sauron are monarchs of ancient Númenór, Rhûn to the east and Harad to the south. The Dark Lord prizes figures of power desperate enough to turn to his fold and lend the resolve with which they would have ruled and fought for their lands to his cause for domination over Middle Earth.
Little is known of how Khamûl the Easterling came to rule the fierce and disciplined people of Rhûn. Statistically his reign would have reached a level of great prestige and martial reputation to have granted him the gift of a ring of power and a place under the Witch King as second in command over the Nazgûl. Such influence may explain how the Easterlings came to worship Sauron as a noble deity to be praised above all others.
The Haradrim king known only as the Betrayer is driven by boundless malice as venomous as the snakes of that unforgiving land. Cursed for condemning the southlands to anarchy for a ring of power offered in return, the Betrayer is the lowest among the Nazgûl, as befits a traitor. Even Sauron himself is wary of entrusting a task to one who would forsake their kin so readily.
Once a traitorous Númenórean king, the Dark Marshal is the most malicious and sadistic. Wherever he goes, evil beings, orcs and fallen men fight all the harder and good warriors feel their courage falter before his aura.
