Description

Hi guys! This is my first tutorial and I hope it can be helpful for all those people with my same problem!

This is my way of drawing in the art style inspired to Brittney Lee's Amazing art! I hope you like it!

Here, there are the links for the brushes that I usually use for this kind of fan art:

Woot! That's an awesome Tutorial!  Exactly what I was thinking/wanting

YOU ROCK

Just curious (not at home so cant test), when you hit the BLOCK button, what does it do?  does it just select the that layers lines?

Thank you! I'm glad that this little thing is what you were looking for!^^

Uhm..basically, you have the layer with lineart, right? hit the "lock trasparent pixel" button (I found out now that this is its name, shame on me o_o), then select the brush tool and, using another color, try to paint on the layer. You'll see that you will be able to paint only the lineart! The other parts of the drawing will remain the same, untouched! I hope I explained it well!

Ah ok
I have been doing SIMILAR things to select the line art.. to specifically color it a specific color.. but that may be an easier way

And then, its just coloring, the SAME color then, as the base (or shade or highlight) color behind it.

Now.. to just check and see WHAT brushes i have.. i think that will be a BIG difference.
other thing i just colored with a hard/soft edge basic brush... need to look MORE down the list and see what there.
(its CS5, so SHOULD have a fair selection)

I was going crazy because I didn't know how to change the color of the lineart but thne, I found out that way and now I feel really ok with it!

Mm..I see! Let me know how it goes then! I have CS6 and it has a lot of brushes, but I barely use them!

Also.. to see if an image i have already done.. would work... or do a new one..

While obviously the METHOD could be used on anything... WOULD it look right, if certain parts of the style (the eyes, for a major example) are different..
