Hi guys! This is my first tutorial and I hope it can be helpful for all those peopleΒ with my same problem!
This is my way of drawing in the art style inspired to Brittney Lee's Amazing art! I hope you like it!

do you use a tablet, if so is that why the lineart and brush strokes look so smooth and tapering off? when i did it with those same brushes on a computer (i dont have a drawing tablet) they looked rough and the shading/highlights too obvious...

Yes i do use a graphic tablet to draw and paint digitally! With a mouse the result won't be the same. For example i use photoshop and sai (but whatever software for digital painting works the same way i guess) which recognize the graphic tablet's pen pressure. And i can change it in the way i want or if i need it from settings!

Like I said, I've never used such a tablet for drawing... I think a tablet is one of the best tools an artist can use

When you block the lineart layers, how do you paint over it? I tried that but i didn't get it so that's why I just do the lineart in the colours of the rest of the drawing. Help please

I simply go in the lineart layer and i color the lineart with the corresponding colors i used to paint the drawing! After you block the lineart layer you can color it with every color you want!

But how do you get the colours to stay on the lineart and not stray in any way?

Because the lineart is blocked! If it is blocked you can color it without straying!

Ciao! Allora, se guardi nella piccola descrizione sotto il tutorial, troverai i link per scaricare iΒ pennelli che ho usato! In particolare, quelli usati nei punti 2 e 4 sono nel link per la lineart! L'artista che li ha creati ha messo anche un'immagine dei vari pennelli compresi nel file con l'esempio del tratto che hanno, e quelli che uso io sono il n.3 e il n.4! (il n.3 per il colorito sulle guanceΒ e il n.4 proprio per la lineart!) Quando poi hai inserito tutto questo brush set nella lista dei tuoi pennelli in Photoshop, questi due li trovi uno accanto all'altro, non ti puoi sbagliare!
