Description
Hi again! Sorry for literally not posting anything for a few months there, I was dealing with not only some health issues (still am), my computer screen also broke, so I wasn't really able to do much in regards to art. I'm still not feeling terribly great (probably won't for awhile), so the rate at which I put out art will be reduced. Sorry about that!
Anyways, here is one of the pieces I was working on before I had all that happen. It was originally supposed to be a birthday gift, but months have since passed, so it's definitely a little late. This is his original planet, Koron, with it's moon, Helixa.
I have several other works that I'm nearly finished with that should be done soon, one being a "poster" for a fictional Soviet Grand Tour mission, and the other a simple portrait of Uranus. The last one is mainly just to get back into painting, I feel I'm a little rusty, so I'm taking things slow! I'm very excited to get back into art and go through my backlog, I have a lot of stuff planned! Here's to hoping it doesn't take too long this time around!

In the foreground, there is a planet with blue oceans and reddish-brown land. It has a generous amount of clouds, and is at an angle at which the southern pole is visible, but the northern is not. There are several islands and a large main continent. Most of the islands are clustered near the southern pole. There are numerous faults, canyons, mountains, rivers, and craters scattered throughout, most of which are visible, but a few are obscured by the cloud cover. There is a green haze towards the limb of the planet, caused by it's atmosphere. It also has a slight 3D effect, which helps give it a little more depth. On the night side, there is a slight red glow, caused by it's moon. The moon is behind the planet and at a different angle. It's reddish-orange, and it also has a green atmosphere. It's covered in craters and canyons as well, giving it a scarred appearance. In the background, there are two stars on the mid-bottom left, just near the limb of the planet. They're brighter than the other stars in this scene, and have a halo around them. The other stars are very small, and barely noticeable.
