Yet another "mer co" one.

The real question to consider here is: Is the title talking about the mer, or that ray of sunshine?

It took me a really long time to decide on how to put together a stingray mer... since their wings are analogous to our arms, and I like to combine things like that. Having the arms separate from the stingray wings was not an option. I briefly entertained the idea of having the wings go across the arms and be attached to the head...but I didn't like the way that looked.

If you were to look at this girl (she's just a little kid, you see...) from the back/top, you'd see a smooth surface, the human torso thing would not be defined at all. Well, aside from the obvious of being able to see the head and hands.

This is a Southern Stingray, Dasyatis americana.
