And yes, I played lots of HotS, and Artanis is one of my fave warriors. ^_^

I recently completed LotV, but I was overall disappointed with it. The protoss character's felt one dimensional, and the missions were very similar, even to previous missions from WoL and HotS. I think overall these issues wouldn't have bothered me so much if we had got to spend more time with Kerrigan and Raynor. Did you like it?
Nice drawing btw.

Thanks! My favorite campaign was WoL, I really loved that campaign when SC2 as a whole still felt very fresh. But since HotS I kinda stopped playing Starcraft, due to diablo 3 really, both the multiplayer and the singleplayer in HotS I didn't like as much. I only really picked LoV up for the story. Yeah, a lot of the missions have similar objectives, but there is only so much they can do with an RTS. A lot of the characters just don't matter. Artanis is the only somewhat ok guy, the rest I didn't really care about. They wanted to set up interesting characters like in the first 2 chapters, but I kinda didn't felt attached to them. Especially when you know it's StarCraft and you know there's gonna be a happy ending, it's kinda a hassle to go through the missions just for the story. It kinda felt like they wanted to focus on the Protoss, focus on Artanis' side of the story, and show less of Raynor and Kerrigan. The ending was kinda weird with Kerrigan too I felt like. I didn't have high expectations, so I wasn't really disappointed.

Yes that's true. What I liked about HotS (my favorite btw) was that it was less about building bases and more about you controlling Kerrigan plus a bunch of zerg to make Kerrigan more powerful. I only got into SC because of Kerrigan, but Zeratul is badass too and Raynor is alright.
I've sometimes thought that SC would have been really cool as a 3rd person shooter. Just imagine having Kerrigan or a zerg character and running up and slashing some guys, like Aliens.
With LotV....honestly sometimes I didn't even know why we had to go to some random planets. I think maybe because the dialogue was kind of generic that it didn't get you to pay attention.
I also didn't like that they killed Zeratul so early on and that Selendis was turned evil at the same time only to be seen again at the end. Instead of developing the protoss characters we were familiar with, they decided to throw in a bunch of new ones with no backstory and lackluster personalities.
I thought the ending would be peace at last, but I was afraid they were going to kill off Kerrigan. So I'm glad they didn't. But I'm also not a fan of what they did with her. She should have stayed in her primal form imo and you should have led all 3 factions more often against Amon.
But on the other hand, she did rip a hybrid in half with her claw wings

I felt it was kinda weird how we removed the zerg-i-ness from kerrigan in WoL, then she becomes a zerg again in HotS, then she becomas a super-sayin demi-god in LotV. The thing with Zeratul is also something that you saw coming a mile away, that one thing with that one "imprisoned" protoss on the flag-ship as well. Once the characters aren't important for the story anymore - more or less - they kill them off. But to be honest I don't bother caring too much about it.
There was a time when they wanted to make a SC-Shooter, from the viewpoint of Nova. But that got canceled a long time ago. When you search "starcraft - ghost" I think you can find a demo-video.Β
Yeah, that one scene of course was not bad

I think that was partly to remake how it happened in SC1 for those who never played it. But with better cinematics of course.
I didn't like that either about her becoming an almost god like character. I mean she was very powerful already in her primal form (and hotter too).
Yeah I read something about that Ghost game. Shame it was canceled. But thanks anyway for the tip
