Minecraft Plant Ideas (MPI): Apple Tree and Bush

Apple tree:

Apple trees would be uncommon, unlike the leaf blocks, the Apple tree leaf has it's own ID leaf block, so that it doesnt drop saplings. Instead this new id block would have a 15% chance of dropping an apple when broken. With an apple, you can put them into a craft box, to turn them into Seeds (2 for each apple). When planting the seeds, they grow like wheat, delicate and are destroyed when stepped on. After it grows enough, it will become a tree made out of blocks.

Bushes: The bush would be a tree, but a new kind of variation of tree that grows 1 wooden block with leafs around it, sometimes 2 wooden blocks in width.

These are just some simple ideas that Notch should of put in by now.
