Description So, after a nostalgic day I had yesterday I decided to create my Inheritance OC. I first came in contact with the Inheritance Cycle - then Inheritance Trilogy - back in 2006. I was walking through the shopping when I saw the firstbook, Eragon, in the stand, and since the movie was recently released in the big screen, I decided: Why not? The story was interesting, compeling, and it was the first time I read a written work of someone younger than me. Of course, as the majority of people keep criticizing, I found major influence of Star Wars, but I tried my best to ignore it so that I could enjoy the reading. As the book reached its end I already chose my favorite character, Murtagh.

I won the second book, Eldest, as a Christmas gift in 2007, and I was amazed how the story got deeper. While Book 1 followed only Eragon's adventures, Eldest is divided into Eragon's, Roran's and Nasuada's adventures and endeavous. And I have to say, I was very happy that Roran's character earned a deeper development. It was in this book that I met one of the most broken characters of Inheritance: Oromis. It must be really painful to be broken magically. The only thing that I didn't like about Eldest was Murtagh's absence, due to his apparent death in the begining of the book. And then, during the Battle of the Burning Plains, ta-da! MURTAGH IS FUCKING ALIVE, AND HE IS NOW A DRAGON RIDER TOO! And if that revelation was not enough, the book ends with the revelation that Eragon is FUCKING MORZAN'S SON (Luke-I-am-your-father mode activated)!

Ok, I won't detail the remaining books here because I believe not everyone read past Eldest. In short, this is a great series that is not having the deserved spotlight. It spawned a horrible movie - compared to the first book - that was not continued. I know CP was just fifteen when he began writing the first book, but give him credit, right? Inheritance may not be a wholy perfect series like Harry Potter, but people didn't put in the series expetations beyond its capacity. I still remember that when the Twilight books began to be published and the movies began to be released critics called it "the new Harry Potter" Pfff! Yeah, right. T-W-I-L-I-G-H-T S-U-C-K-S! To be honest, of the Inheritance books the only one I didn't like much was Brisingr, I though it was weak.

Now, to the character...

Strom was a Dwarf born in 7892 in Tarnag, Farthen Dûr, as a member of Dûrgrimst Ragni Hefthyn, one of the thirteen Dwarf clans. He witnessed the Fall and lived most of his life during the Riderless Period. Though the Dwarves shared Farthen Dûr with the Varden, Strom and the rest of his clan took no part in the group's actions. This only changed when Orik became the 43th king of the Dwarf clans, and made the Dwarves to join the Varden en masse. After the fall of the Broddring Empire, he went on with his life, and even stroke a friendship with the Urgals. In battle, he wields his trusted two-edged axe, Zahmet, and he is quite savage while fighting, a true daredevil.

The Inheritance Cycle belongs to Christopher Paolini.

Character made with Rinmaru's Fantasy Scene Maker S1

NOTES:
* Initially my character was going to be an elf Dragon Rider, but since elves are vegetarian I scrapped the idea. Then I remembered that I became amazed with the dwarf culture after reading Eldest and Brisingr, so...
* Strom is "stream" in most Germanic languages.
* Zahmet "Pain" in Turkish.

Thanks. Originally I was going to make an Elf Dragon Rider, but, even human Dragon Riders would someday say: "I can't eat flesh anymore, blah blah blah..." this kind of bulshit.

Thanks! I could have made my OC as a Dragon Rider, but, independent of their species, DRs eventually give up on RED MEAT OF A BONE, which I could never bring myself indo doing.

Yeah, I tried being vegetarian once... It lasted for about 8 hours. I was good through breakfast and lunch, but then dinner came and we were having steak... Yeah, I gave up instantly then, especially since the steak was wrapped in bacon. And because of this, I came to realize that the only "popular" diet I could ever do is Paleo, since you can eat meat and veggies and fruits, just no heavily processed foods, like bread and such.

Yeah, I understand. I can eat almost anything, but the only things I can't stand are nut-related, pineapple, and normal lasagna. You know, with tomato sauce. There are other fruits, like coconut, avocado and lemon, that I can only eat in a different form, as yogurt, juice and pie, respectively. Also, the only fruit I eat regularly in it's fruit form is - mimicking a Minion - Banana. Not that I have a huge apetite, the thing is that I love to eat. If anyone offers me anything to eat, even it is between breakfast and lunch for example,  I'll gladly eat. My step-mother keeps joking that I can eat even molten pewter.

*sings in a Minion voice* Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-nana!

Lol I'm not picky about what I eat until it comes to how it's prepared. I don't like spicy foods, because people who do just make it so all you taste is spice. I like to be able to taste the food and the spice, without one overpowering the other. That's why usually I'm choosy when it comes to, for example, Mexican food. Most people who make it, who don't know the traditional Mexican dishes, overpower the food with spice, which sickens me (especially when they use cheap ingredients that are full of preservatives because I found out I'm allergic to them. They give me headaches, almost to the point of migraines.) That's why I only eat homemade Mexican food or the traditional dishes when I go to Mexican restaurants. It's really only the spicy foods I'm picky with.

In my case, if I try to eat peanuts, I feel like vomiting. As for spicy food, I'm with you. I love it, but not overly spicy. When I was still in university, the things I used to eat was: popcorn, chocolate or any other candy, and chips like Ruffles. Once I bought a back of chips of the Doritos brand - not sure if you have it there in USA - and the one I bought was sweet chilli-flavored. The thing was so spicy that, if the laws of the cartoons worked in the real world, I would have been able to breath fire.

Dude, I love Doritos, but only the Cool Ranch kind because those are the best. I usually eat blander foods, but some spices is okay with me.
