There are four other brothers; two above them and two below them. I have photographed the six brothers together on occasion and it's a very emotional experience to see the love they share and how much they truly enjoy each other. I chose Spencer and Kramer for this shoot specifically because of their similiar looks but also because they're the ones most convincing as frontiersmen. Once they were in costume they immediately fell into character. The transformation was amazing.

The younger cowboy: Handsome, impetuous and disarmingly charming. Too quick to draw his gun; chances are slim that he'll make it to 30.

His brother: There's a wife at home. He isn't swayed anymore by the flattery and the easy women; he's got other things on his mind. Nobody is a better shot, but nobody cocks their gun less than he does.

It's true, they're look is perfect for it. It's cool that you build narrative with your photography.
