Companion piece to , and frankly I prefer this piece to the former. I really should do more watercolor pics without ink outlines, it looks less cartooney, even if the subjects are anthropomorphic birds.

Anyway, here is Skua relaxing in his easy chair, holding an opened letter amongst some symbols of success and aristocracy–the top hat is an obvious one, along with the cane, tea, portrait on the wall, and the art-nouveau-ish lamp. But he still remembers the ocean....

done for the "Shades of Blue" contest, wish me luck.
