Description
While digging through some old files, I found the ONLY scan I have from my VERY FIRST comic I did professionally: a Roger Rabbit two-pager for Disney Adventures. It was fun to do and I remember sweating over every panel because I wanted them to like it. I had worked on the second Roger Rabbit short, so I knew how to draw him well enough, but I was new to sequential storytelling. The script was jammed pack (as I would find out later, is the norm) with too much description and too many actions/emotions/set ups to show per page- so I kept adding panels. This was a "night job" I did while I was animating on Beauty and the Beast. I remember NEEDING this comic because I was so bored during the day because I was a beginning animator and I was doing tons of crowd scenes during the day! Remember the song, "Let's Kill the Beast" with all the villagers caring pitchforks and torches? Yeah, that was me. Wahoo.Related content

Who let Roger drive? As Eddie said and Jessica agreed "A better lover than a driver."

I remember uploading a Disney Adventures comic myself. It was a Kim Possible comic. Only one problem: I didn't make it.

"Kill the Beast" was one of the best parts of the movie! (Though I can appreciate how much of a pain to animate all those villagers was).
This looks like it was fun to draw.

I love the old DA magazines especially the comics! Amazing how much humor can be achieved in just 2 pages.

Roger is a Formula 1 fan? I guess a lot of drivers' names would sound funny the way he talks

Hey, Tom, I was wondering, what scene was your "big break" at Disney on a feature?

Probably the section in Lion King where Simbas mom is giving him a bath and he is yelling, " Mom, you're messin up my mane!"
