Scandal! Derpy Hooves is set to become the next alicorn in Season 4! Bronies everywhere are outraged at the addition of a horn to this once great wall-eyed horse!Haven't posted in a while, been busy with work and other things. This is based off that cute drawing did of Derpy with a plunger for a horn [you can check it out here: fav.me/d5ta6aq ]; had some fun drawing it - I'm hoping Season 4 will give us some new material to work with since it's been hard to find something interesting to draw.

I don't get the whole Derpy craze. She barely in the show at all. What's the big deal? The only real personality she has is one that people have generated for her It's kind of silly. Not to mention some of the other background ponies. Like Lyra...Β
I know...these are fan created ponies, but it's not THAT cool that they are just in the background. I've seen shows where a whole episode is dedicated to a fan character.Β
(These guys were all fan characters, and they are all more than just characters in the background.)

So, a background character that has no impact on the story and only has a fan generated personality(A very shitty one btw, what is the fascination with making her a retard?) (Derpy) versus an established character in a universe that has actual plot points to the story and entire canon(Almost 3 books) written about him(Boba). Hmmm, I do not see a similarity.

As a long time Star Wars geek too, there was a lot of interest in Boba Fett before he got all the comics (some very good)Β and novels (egad those novels we BAD) about him.Β He got that stuff because fans had a deep interest in him.Β So it is similar.Β Compared to Star Wars, the Bronies are a new fandom.Β (I watched the original MLP, but the new show is very different.)Β Boba Fett was in much the same position, 4, 5 even 10 years after the original trilogy came out.
