For a gift, this is put very well together. I like the fact you used green for the main color for the dragon. Since it is a very classic and basic color it works well here,especially with the red markings on the hind legs and tail.
Your unique art style really shows from head to tail. The use of the spell around the dragon adds a lot depth perception even though there's no background.
What really makes this art piece really great is the facial expression. It gives off a lot of emotion and words without even saying anything. I like the fact it's very shocked to be a dragon (but then again; who wouldn't?)
In conclusion this is one cool looking dragon tf you've made. I'd like to see more.
